Cramped....With Love.

People say that you shouldnt sleep with your kids.

They give you all kinds of reasons...attatchment issues, no alone time, getting no sleep.



Our kids have ended up in our bed since....FOREVER!



I have to admit, when they do sleep a WHOLE night in their own bed-I feel like doing a happy dance.



But - as I laid there last night CRAMPED in our SMALL Queen sized bed, I was saddened to think of a day when they wouldnt want to sleep with us.



It made me sad to think of them too grown up to want to sleep with Mom and Dad.



It reminds me of when I was small and ny Dad used to say that he wanted to put a brick on my head.



I never understood what he meant then, but now I GET IT!!!!!



So in my GRAND PLAN for this year I was trying to get them to ALL sleep ALL NIGHT in their own bed...

I am changing the plan!!!

I am going to cherish every cramped, squished, sleepless night I am granted....

Before long, well be all alone in our BIG QUEEN SIZE BED!!!!

Puzzled????

So here we are at the end of summer..
Pretty organized for school next week...
Raring to go...The kids have been puzzle crazy lately!!!
Morning , Noon and night...Puzzles, puzzles, puzzles.....LOVE IT!!!!

For the first time in a long time, I am excited and looking forward to the weather getting colder.
Maybe its just because we pretty much missed winter last year....
But-I keep thinking "Bring it on!!"

Soccer-Mania!!!!!

Well Today was the official Soccer Kick-off For the season...





Hooray!!!! I Love the Fall!!!





Now we will be running around in the evenings with practice across town.





Soccer Games on Saturdays....Sooo Fun!!!!











It wont be long and well be buying Fall scented candles and leaving the windows open.





I really feel like were going into another phase of our lives.





The children arent "babies " anymore....





They are getting older and their personalities are really starting to shine.





This year should be an amazing one.





So...Settle in For the ride--It may be a bumpy one!

Pile-O-Kids!!!

Praise God!!!!
Daddy is home!!!
He got home today at about 4 pm.
So... after a FEW hugs and kisses, we went to eat and have a few drinks!!!
Well...I had some drinks while chased the kids and had a beer. :)
I used to think that I couldn' get along without him..But- this summer has taught me that I can do it!!!
I can take all 4 kids w/ me grocery shopping.
I can take all 4 kids to the swimming pool ...and no one will drown.
I can load them all up in the van to go to the park..in the 115 degree heat!!!
I can do anything I put my mind to...I am grateful for these lessons.
I know that I can do it.
But more than ever, I realize .....I dont want to.
I Love my husband more today than yesterday, and less than tommorow..
So, as I sit here tonight and look upon my husband and our pile-o-kids..I am happy.
I am sooo Blessed!!!

I am smiling from ear to ear tonight.

Life just isnt the same without Daddy....

I feel like I have been Pretty good this summer with Jay being away for alot of the time.

But, now....I am starting to feel it.

I am feeling a LITTLE stressed after 2 weeks of non-stop, 24 hour Mommy duties.

Okay...Has anyone ever seen the commercial where the DAD is home and the MOM is out and the DAD says "Where is your MOTHER?"

Well...Give Thanks to GOD, TOMMOROW is MY DAY!!!

Jay will be home tommorow....Thank goodness!!!

We miss him and love him....and I need a nap!!!!

More than just a Piggy-back....

What a wonderful feeling to see Love at work within your family, amongst your kids.

Today ...when Sheba fell asleep, the kids were going to watch a movie.

We got the movie ready...(High School Musical 2 to be exact) and I got the snacks ready.

there they were all lined up ready for their cheetos..patiently waiting.

Making sure to give them all EXACTLY the same amount, so I dont have to hear and complaining, and I send them off to the couch.

Zeek sat down, then Shasha sat next to him...Malachi right next to Shasha.

Zeek moved to the other couch.

Shasha followed, then Malachi.

This went on for a good couple of minutes before Zeek said, "Ugggg, stop following me!!!"

I was laughing this whole time because they all just LOVE each other sooooo much!!!

Iwalked over to all of them and said .."Zeek, they just want to sit next to you because they love you."

Zeek said, "Shasha just wants to sit next to me because she always wants piggy back rides from here or there."

Shasha just got this shocked look on her face and said.."Nu-ugh, I just wanted to SIT by him!"

Then I sat down and explained that we should be grateful for all the love we have around us....Without another word, they all just sat back with a very hapy look on their face and settled in to watch a movie.


Ahhhh.....LOVE!!!!!!

MORE LOVE????

Okay...so maybe you have or havent seen "Big Love"?
It is AWESOME!!!!
I love it and at the same time I WISH i didnt WANT to watch.
It is such a guilty plaesure.
If you dont know...It is about a modern day Latter Day saints!!!
You know ...the ones with 34 wives.

Like i said..It is a guilty pleasure.

It makes me wonder aboout how those women do it?
How do they conquer the jealousy monster?
I would think you either have to have been raised in a CRAZY compound with someone like David Koresh as a "Leader", or need alot of "Alone" time.
I mean like 4 days a week -ALONE TIME!!!
As for me....I already share my husband.
I share him with 4 kids, 2 dogs, a hermit crab, about 12 fish, a band, a twin and various other friends and family!!
So..we have NO room for any more wives!!!

Although...I do need a cook!! :)

Our NEW adventure....

Well this is all new for me...I am trying to get organized...VERY organized.I am setting a goal.I want to keep everyone informed about our lives, kinda like in Costa Rica.We have sooo much going on this year with homeschooling and soccer and Jays Band....etc.So.............I am going to keep a BLOG. I am sure I will have PLENTY to write about on this crazy adventure...It will be a Long walk.PRAY FOR ME!!!!
