I am THAT Mom.

You know the one who annoys you with BREAD RECIPES...

I AM THAT MOM.

But I dont care....

If you have been here before you know that I have ATTEMPTED to make bread LOTS of times but NEVER could quite get it "right".

It has been something that I WANTED to be able to do but never could.

But...
Last week- I came upon a great little blog called "Cooking With Littles"

It has a GREAT Recipe for 6 loaves of handmade bread
.

I half the recipe because of SPACE issues in the freezer.

But everyone LOVES this bread.

It is great for sandwiches,
soup,
with pasta.

Gobble ,Gobble!!!

THIS was lunch today…..They “gobbled” it up!!!!

We scream for “Ital” Ice Cream!!!!

 

We are a family that LOVES sweets.

Most of us LOVE chocolate.

And lately I have really been trying some NEW things to stay away from PROCESSED foods .

I want to be a better steward to my body and I want the kids to do the same.

But at the same time I want them to be kids.

I want them to remember things like ice cream and chocolate in their childhood.

I want them to have those “sweet” memories.

Soooo…

I came up with this little treat.

“Ital” ice cream

Ital meaning : unprocessed, non chemical, fresh.

This is a SUPER recipe that calls for 1 ingredient.

BANANAS!!!!

All you have to do is take the peel off of the bananas and freeze the bananas.

Not like ROCK HARD FROZEN….but-frozen yogurt frozen.

Then you put them in a bowl and smash ‘em.

THAT IS IT!!!!!

seriously…..THAT is IT!!!!

Try it…..The kids will LOVE it!!!!

We did some baking on Friday.

Shainee gave me the receipe.

“Ace in the hole” cupcakes.

Sinful.

Pumpkin cupcakes filled with cream cheese filling.

They were sooooooooooo good.Shasha helped me bake them.

Of COURSE!

They were AMAZING.

“Slap yo’ Mama” Good!

(I dont recommend SLAPPING Yo’ Mama)

Were adding them to our THANKSGIVING FEAST   menu!!! MMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to get some ladies together to learn how to do something that is a "LOST ART".

I want to make JAM.

Were trying to avoid HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, so this JAM will be heavy on PURE sugar!

I remember when I was little and there was never a time that I went to see my grandparents that there wasnt Homemade Jam or jelly!

I think it would be fun and we could teach this "LOST ART" to our sons and daughters.

I am going to try and get my Memaw to tell me the steps and were on.

Strawberries are on sale 2 for $3 at Wal-mart.

I think you can get the jars there also.
