MORE than Math…

zeek2

“Once in awhile you can get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right!….”

Sometimes it is soooo easy to “get lost in the day”.

Sometimes-

RIGHT in the middle of a busy school day-

when everything seems to be going CRAZY…

when all 4 kids have their hands raised(on a good day) at the SAME TIME…..

when trying to watch a toddler AND teach and 4 kids in 4 different grades…..

when the laundry is piled up and the animals need to be let out…AGAIN…..

when the house needs to cleaned, but not BEFORE  I EDUCATE the youth of the future….LOL

THOSE are the times when I am prone to feeling like a failure.

THOSE are the times when I tend to feel like NOTHING is getting done….because of the chaos.

Those are the times when I doubt how well this will REALLY all turn out.

I mean really…..this is

THE

HARDEST

THING

I

HAVE

EVER

DONE.

EVER.

And THEN right when I am super stressed and worried that we haven’t even TOUCHED our MATH that day….

I come around the corner and find THIS:

zeek 1

I find my 11 year old SON sitting in a rocking chair, rocking his cousin to sleep. On his own.  Without being told to. He saw that the child was tired, I was stressed, so he took it upon himself to do what we needed in that moment.  He was patient(it took 20 min) and kind and showed LOVE….

And then it was once again CLEAR to me…..

Sometimes in life-

there are things

MORE

IMPORTANT

THAN

MATH.

Well done. You can't get that from a text book. Love, Jess

yes for within all learning space, grace and peace are the most profound

for the mind to rest for love to be taught and nourishment found to be the most vital teachings one can share..

As zeek shall teach many as his gentle caring ways shine.
