Shashamane was soooo funny …
the day before we were riding in the car and she said,”Mom, we do the same thing in the GAME as we do in PRACTICE right????”
I said, “Yes, Honey…the same thing.”
Shasha said, “But Dad will still tell me what to do, right????”
Love that girl!!!
Zeek scored the 1st touchdown of the season!!!!
He was so HAPPY…
We were soooo PROUD!!!!
And the first time Malachi was in the game …he stood there and basically WATCHED .
He actually CLAPPED and stood there.
So FUNNY!!!!!
AND…we cant forget the AWESOME coaches!!!!
They LOVE these kids sooo much .

Bigger BLESSINGS……..
STRANDED….
that has been us Lately.
Last Saturday our van broke down.
Like…In front of Amy’s house, on our way to practice…BROKE DOWN.
AND
I have been taking a TAXI to and from work on the last 2 weekends.
CRAZY!!
So…because I had been sick the last 2 weeks also, I was feeling STRANDED.
(Trust me …I know…..I am not TRULY stranded.)
Just…STRANDED in an typical spoiled American way…STRANDED.
Dumb…but still stressful nonetheless when we have football practice, my work, Daddys work, grocery shopping, hs classes, etc.
Anyway….
Today was my day.
We were supposed to DRIVE the van to the shop to get it fixed.
(While Daddy was at work..no less)
BUT…When we went to start it….
NOTHING.
Again…NOTHING.
Soooo…
Jay called out a friend to TOW US to the shop.
FUN..with 4 kids.
Needless to say …I was in RARE FORM.
I was STRESSED!!!!
I wasn’t in a GREAT mood and everyone knew it.
That's when I heard Zeek.
Sweet Sweet Ezekiel.
He had climbed in the back seat of the van and said, “If you will all be good and quiet, I’ll buy us ALL a treat at the store……I brought my WALLET and I have $8!”
Of course…I was not surprised,shocked, or stunned.
After all…It is Zeek.
Remember THIS?
He's AMAZING!!
He is always looking out for his brothers and sisters.
ALWAYS.
Such a sweet reminder of how BLESSED I am….
STRANDED or NOT.
PS…..I let the sweet child KEEP HIS MONEY.

The RANT….
I know that JAH knew EXACTLY what he was doing when he made the day 24 hours…..
It was a semi-joke.
Like we could ACTUALLY accomplish all we needed to accomplish in that SMALL AMOUNT of time.
Yeah Right!!!!!!!!
I have found myself lately JUGGLING.
school
the house
the laundry
my health issues
the food
the kids
the animals
the chickens
the homestead.
ALL OF IT………
I feel like I am doing a LITTLE BIT of everything.
I feel like I am not TRULY ACCOMPLISHING anything.
I am tired.
I have been sick for a couple of months.
I want to FEEL GOOD.
I want to feel like I accomplished something.
ONE THING.
I guess it comes with the territory.
4 kids
3 dogs
a home
a husband(which really DOSENT count because…he actually has to take care of ME!!)
work
school
BUT…I am ready for a break….
a mental break.
a physical break(from illness)
a BREAK!!!!
Whew…..I feel better.
Thank you….
had to “get it off my chest”.
I think I just might have CONTRACTED “Summer-itis”.

MOTH Mom?????
I recently bought THIS book after YEARS of seeing and hearing about it on other homeschool blogs.
If you saw WIFE SWAP….you know, we haven’t EVER been very “scheduely” people.
Up until 2 years ago…I had NO IDEA what a spreadsheet was!!!
BUT…as time has gone on, i have SLOWLY began to realize the benefit of a schedule.
Over the last few years of homeschooling, as I have ADDED to my classroom count, I have realized that I HAVE to have a schedule.
It makes thin gs go MUCH easier.
The FEWER spur of the moment decisions I have to make during the day…..the BETTER.
THAT includes: meal plans, scheduled “hobby” time, time spent with Jah……ALL of that.
I have come to the conclusion that a schedule for ALL DAY is needed.
Soooooo……
I finally BOUGHT the book.
So far….LOVE IT!!!
I think I just might be a MOTH(Managers of their homes) Mom….what do ya know?????

Spring Flag Football is BACK!!!!
And if you know us…..you know that we LOVE some football with Coach Matty and Coach Daddy.
We LOVE our “little Jags”.
This is Zeeks 4th season to play.
Malachi’s 2nd season.
AND
(drumroll)
SHASHAMANE is playing this season also!!!!!
Sweet GIRLY-GIRL.
I NEVER thought I would see the day….
BUT- she decided that she wanted to play at the last minute.
Like THE DAY BEFORE PRACTICE last minute.
We were riding in the van and she said….
“I want to play SOMETHING.”
I said …”Play football.”
She got the weirdest look on her face..and said,
(as if to MAKE SURE I UNDERSTOOD)
“OK…but If it was the right TIME to get into dance…I would DANCE”
(This time of year is NOT a good time to start dance….recitals, end of year, etc.)
I said, “I know.” and called the YMCA.
She even got NEW cleats on Tuesday……FUN.
By Wed she was all signed up and ready to go.
On our way to practice she said, “Are there going to ba any GIRLS there?”
Uh-Oh.
I QUICKLY replied, “It doesn’t matter if there are girls there. You are going to have fun and play.”
She smiled.
Practice went GREAT!!!!
Zeek JUMPED right in….as CAPTAIN.
Malachi was stoked and Shasha…
well Shasha was nervous .
The first 30 min of practice she had her arms crossed.
I think she was unsure of what to do.
LOL
But soon enough …she was right there with the rest of them.

Qu…Qu…Queen.
This week we are back at it and I LOVE IT!!!!!
The “littles” letter of the week is Qq.
We made QUILTS today…cute.
We also talked about the Q sound.
We did Q Packets…
The day went smoothly and the kids seemed EAGER to learn.
I think the LOVE school actually.
They WANT to learn.
I love the fact that I get to be SO MUCH a part of this process.
SO MUCH a part of their day!!!

Then……
Shashamane and I opened our new sewing machine.
AWESOME!!!!
We have been wanting to….
Actually, Shasha has been BEGGING me everyday for about a week now.
So today…we did it!
We got it out and opened it up.
I taught her how to thread the bobbin and thread the machine.
I taught her how to do a reverse stitch.
Then she just TOOK OFF.
She made a small pillow for Sheba’s baby then she made a pillow for Sheba.
Stinkin’ AWESOME.
You can’t imagine the PRIDE I feel when one of these youth “have a talent” …..
heart swelling, pulse QUICKINING PRIDE!!!!
